What changes is this bill making?
  1. 1The bill amends the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to allow nationals of the Republic of Korea to receive E-3 nonimmigrant visas on a basis of reciprocity.
  2. 2It requires US employers of Korean E-3 visa holders to participate in the E-Verify program to confirm work eligibility.
  3. 3It sets a yearly cap of 10,500 E-3 visas for Australian nationals and allows Korean nationals to fill any remaining visas based on the prior year’s Australian approvals.
  4. 4Spouses and children of E-3 visa holders do not count toward the annual visa limit.
  5. 5The new provisions take effect 180 days after the bill becomes law.
