Apex Project Land Transfer Bill

This bill updates the Apex Project to include North Las Vegas and allows for land transfers while ensuring environmental protections.
Communities Helping Invest through Property and Improvements Needed for Veterans Act or the CHIP IN for Veterans Act This bill makes permanent, starting December 16, 2026, the pilot program under which the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) may accept donations of property or facilities from certain nonfederal entities (e. g., state authorities or private entities). The bill also removes the limit on the number of donations that the VA may accept under the program.
1. This bill adds the city of North Las Vegas and the Apex Industrial Park Owners Association to the Apex Project. 2. It allows the transfer of land and mineral materials to the city or the association. 3. The bill requires compliance with federal environmental laws for any land transfers. 4. It updates definitions related to the Apex Industrial Park and its owners. 5. The bill simplifies the process for selling mineral materials from land within the Apex Site.
