This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security to provide monthly updates on special interest aliens who attempt to enter the United States.
Special Interest Alien Reporting Act of 2024 [sic]This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to report every month on non-U.S. nationals (aliens under federal law) who attempt to unlawfully enter the United States and who potentially pose a national security risk. DHS must report on (1) the number of individuals, (2) the nationalities or countries of last residence of these individuals, and (3) the location of the encounters.
1. This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security to publish monthly reports on special interest aliens. 2. The reports will include the total number of special interest aliens and their countries of origin. 3. Each report will detail where encounters occurred, such as at borders or within the United States. 4. The first report will also cover data from January 2021 to January 2025. 5. Special interest aliens are defined as those who may pose a national security risk.
This bill affects individuals identified as special interest aliens and those involved in immigration enforcement.
