What changes is this bill making?
  1. 1Defines a “small manufacturer” as a small business in manufacturing sectors 31, 32, or 33 of the NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) with all facilities in the United States.
  2. 2Raises the maximum loan amount under the SBA (Small Business Administration) 7(a) program for small manufacturers from $3.75 million to $7.5 million (or higher for loans over $10 million).
  3. 3Increases the SBA guaranteed portion limit for small manufacturers from $4.5 million to $9 million, with up to $8 million for working capital, supplies, or export financing.
  4. 4Doubles the maximum export loan amount under SBA Section 7(a)(14) for small manufacturers from $5 million to $10 million.
  5. 5Increases the loan limit under the Small Business Investment Act of 1958 from $5.5 million to $10 million.
