What changes is this bill making?
1Starting January 1, 2027, health plans must cover selected insulin products without any deductible.
2For plan years starting before January 1, 2028, patients will pay no more than $35 for a 30-day supply of insulin.
3From January 1, 2028, patients will pay either $35 or 25% of the negotiated price of insulin, whichever is lower.
4Health plans cannot impose prior authorization or other restrictions on selected insulin products, except for safety reasons.
