# PILLARS > PILLARS is a free, nonpartisan app and website that shows people what is on their ballot, how their representatives have voted, and who funds them, in plain English. It covers politicians, bills, executive orders and elections across the United States. PILLARS is made by Political Pillars Inc., founded in 2024 by Caleb Adelman (Miami University '24). It is also called "PILLARS - Simplifying Politics" (the App Store and Google Play name) and "PILLARS politics app". It is not related to the Muslim prayer app named Pillars. The information comes from official public sources: Congress.gov and LegiScan for legislation, the Congressional Budget Office for cost estimates, the Federal Election Commission for campaign finance, the Federal Register for presidential actions, and state election offices and the Google Civic Information API for elections. Federal bills refresh about every 30 minutes and recorded votes within minutes of a roll call. Every fact is attributed to its source; a blank means there is no record. PILLARS never says who to vote for and has no news feed or opinion content. It is free, with no paid tier and no ads. The website at app.pillarsapp.us has a page for every member of Congress, every federal bill, every race on a 2026 ballot and every executive order. The app is on iOS and Android. ## 2026 Election Center - [2026 Election Center](https://app.pillarsapp.us/election-center): developed by PILLARS in partnership with AllSides.
