About Rebecca Bennett

Rebecca Bennett

Navy helicopter pilot. healthcare leader. Mom.

A former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, officer in the Air National Guard, business leader in healthcare, and mom of two – Rebecca Bennett has always valued service.

Growing up in a small town, service has always been a big part of Rebecca’s life.

She decided early to serve in the military, and earned an ROTC scholarship to study chemical engineering at Cornell University. After graduating, Rebecca decided to fly helicopters for two reasons – she likes to do hard things, and she values team based missions. She graduated flight school at the top of her class, and was the #1 pilot in all of her squadrons. She was selected as the only MH-60S helicopter pilot in her class to attend the prestigious U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. Rebecca flew the MH-60 Seahawk for the Navy, and served in the armed forces for over 15 years as a helicopter pilot, experimental test pilot, and aircraft commander, and member of the Air National Guard.

After the Navy, Rebecca continued to serve – working to expand access to healthcare.

While she was serving as an experimental test pilot, Rebecca used the GI Bill to get her M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. When it was time to leave active duty, Rebecca and her husband – who is also a Navy veteran – moved to New Jersey. Rebecca chose to work in healthcare, from early-stage startups to Fortune 50 companies, because she wanted to continue mission-driven work to increase access to care, improve patients’ outcomes, and decrease costs for patients.

Rebecca’s guiding principle has always been to make our country a better place, and that’s why she’s running for Congress.

Rebecca is the kind of person that runs at problems, and after the last election, she knew she had to do everything she could to stand up and fight for the country that she loves. She knows that we’re at a crucial moment in our country’s history, where we are all being called to do more. This campaign is the next chapter of Rebecca’s service to this nation.
