About Emily Gise

Biography

Rep. Emily Gise proudly represents Oklahoma House District 90, serving communities across Cleveland and Oklahoma counties. A sixth-generation Oklahoman and University of Oklahoma graduate, Gise brings nearly a decade of state government experience to the Legislature. Prior to taking office, she pioneered a workforce initiative that helped Oklahomans move from government dependency into technology careers, creating pathways to meaningful employment and long-term self-sufficiency. In the Oklahoma House, Gise serves as Vice Chair of the Appropriations and Budget Human Services Subcommittee and on committees focused on business, families, and government modernization. Her legislative work centers on strengthening families and Oklahoma’s workforce, expanding economic opportunity, and making government more efficient. A recent graduate of The Council of State Governments’ Toll Fellowship and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Gise applies process-improvement principles to reduce wasteful spending, unnecessary mandates, and bureaucratic red tape. Gise also serves on the Oklahoma-Israel Exchange Commission and the Office of Juvenile Affairs State Advisory Group. Her honors include The Journal Record’s Achievers Under 40, The Council of State Governments’ 20 Under 40 Leadership Award, the Oklahoma District Attorneys Association Legislative Excellence Award, the National Foundation for Women Legislators’ Woman of Excellence Award, and the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy's Freshman Legislator of the Year Award. Grounded in her faith and Oklahoma roots, Gise believes leadership is best expressed through service and empowering people to build stronger, more self-sufficient communities.
