Continuing the Fight for Conservative Values
President Donald Trump is Making America Great Again and ushering in a Golden Age in America, but as he returns power to the states, Tennessee needs a strong conservative governor who will carefully guard Tennessee’s conservative values and ensure our state continues to lead the nation.
A strong economy means a strong Tennessee, and Marsha will always fight for freedom, free people, and free markets. She’ll continue to lead the fight to keep men out of women’s sports, protecting Tennessee girls. And she’ll keep Tennesseans safe by supporting President Trump’s mass deportations and removing ineffective, do-nothing, Soros-funded District Attorneys.

Marsha grew up in Laurel, Mississippi, and graduated from Mississippi State University. When Marsha was 16 years old, she began her first job, working at a dress shop. She went to college on a 4-H scholarship and went on to sell educational books door to door for the Southwestern Company. Her mother often reminded her and her siblings to leave things in better shape than they found them – a principle that continues to guide her to this day. The exceptional work ethic that carried her through these experiences became a staple of her career and of her public service. Marsha learned that there is no substitute for ringing someone’s doorbell and listening to what they have to say: a lesson—and practice—she holds close to this day.
She and her husband Chuck have been married for 50 years and have two children and four grandchildren, who call her Marshie and look forward to Sunday lunches together after church.
Called to Service
Marsha stepped into public service in 1995 as executive director of the Tennessee Film, Entertainment, and Music Commission, beginning a long-time partnership with the music and entertainment community — a vital part of Tennessee’s culture. She was then elected to the Tennessee State Senate in 1998.
While serving in the Tennessee State Senate, Marsha led a successful statewide grassroots campaign to defeat a proposed state income tax, taking on Democrats and members of her own party. While defeating the tax, she quickly became known as a champion of anti-tax and government accountability issues.
She went on to serve Middle and West Tennessee in Congress, where she continued to stand strongly by her commitment to fiscal common sense and government accountability, repeatedly advocating for fewer regulations and policies that enable businesses to grow. There, she fought Planned Parenthood and stopped the sale of baby body parts. She established a reputation as a fighter for Fort Campbell and our troops.
In 2018, Marsha was the first female Senator elected from the state of Tennessee. She fights every day for President Donald Trump’s America First agenda, to keep men out of girls’ sports, hold big tech accountable, defend life, protect American farmland from Communist China, secure our borders, and deport all illegal aliens.
She’s always fought government overreach, but one of her biggest victories was repealing the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for servicemembers and fighting to have their pay reinstated.
Members of the Senate are responsible for introducing and voting on federal legislation, representing their state, and providing a check on executive power. Key powers include confirming presidential appointments, ratifying treaties, serving on committees, shaping the federal budget, and conducting impeachment trials. Each senator serves a six-year term and represents their entire state.
