From the Douglas Housing Projects to Congress
Victor Arias grew up in the Douglas Housing Projects in Manhattan. Raised by a determined mother and shaped by mentors who refused to give up on him, Victor learned early that the system could work for you, or against you — depending on who was in your corner.
Victor went on to earn his law degree and moved to Southwest Florida, where he built a career dedicated to defending the rights of working families, immigrants, and those caught in the crosshairs of a system that wasn't built for them.
Over 27 years in SWFL, Victor became a fixture in the community — not just as an attorney, but as a neighbor, an advocate, and a voice for the voiceless. He marched when others stayed home. He showed up when others stayed silent. And now, he's ready to bring that same energy to Washington.
FL-19 deserves a representative who knows what it means to struggle, to fight, and to win — not just for himself, but for his community. That's Victor Arias.
Grassroots
On the Campaign Trail
From Fort Myers to Naples, Cape Coral to Immokalee — Victor is out in the community every single day. He knocks on doors, attends community events, and listens to the concerns of working families across FL-19.
This campaign is fueled by people power. No PAC money. No corporate influence. Just neighbors talking to neighbors about what they need from their representative in Congress.
Service
Standing for Country and Community
Victor has never shied away from taking a stand. Whether it was rallying against injustice at the No Kings Rally, or standing alongside veterans and first responders — he shows up.
He believes service to community and service to country go hand in hand. That's why Victor has spent decades building relationships across every corner of Southwest Florida, regardless of party, background, or zip code.
Values
Family & Faith
Victor has been married to his wife for over 32 years. They raised their family right here in Southwest Florida, sending their children through the same schools, same neighborhoods, and same communities he now seeks to represent.
His faith has been the cornerstone of his life — guiding his work as an attorney, his commitment to justice, and his decision to run for Congress. He is a proud member of his church community and believes that serving others is not just a calling — it's a duty.
A Record of Service
Criminal Defense & Civil Rights
Over three decades fighting for the rights of everyday people in Florida's courtrooms — from wrongful arrests to civil rights violations.
Community Advocate
A persistent voice at city hall, in schools, and on the streets of SWFL — speaking up when others stayed silent.
Grassroots Organizer
Built coalitions across racial, cultural, and economic lines to address housing, education, and economic justice.
Family & Faith Leader
Rooted in faith and family — values that have guided every decision in his personal and professional life.
Experience
Advocating in Washington
Victor's work with Suncoast Credit Union has taken him to Washington, D.C. multiple times — meeting with congressional offices, attending federal policy briefings, and fighting for the financial interests of Southwest Florida families.
He knows the difference between candidates who talk about Washington and candidates who have sat in those offices, made those calls, and built those relationships. That experience matters on day one.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives write and vote on federal laws, including the federal budget. Each represents one district and serves a two-year term. Tax bills must start in the House, only the House can impeach federal officials, and members oversee federal agencies through their committees.
