Meet Eric
Eric Yonce is a business owner, community advocate, and progressive leader committed to serving Florida's 6th District. He believes public service starts with listening—and that strong communities grow when families, small businesses, and local leaders have the freedom to thrive.
A lifetime in our community
Eric was born in Florida, raised in the Sixth District, and has always called this community home. Growing up in Citra and graduating from North Marion High School shaped his connection to the people and places of the district. His father served as an Ocala police officer, while his mother leads the local Realtor Association and works to make homeownership more accessible. Their example taught Eric the importance of hard work, public service, and standing up for neighbors.
Appalachian Trail thru-hike · Class of 2022
“In 2022, I completed a 2,000-plus-mile thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. That journey tested my endurance and reinforced my belief in perseverance, purpose, and resilience. That same mindset led me to start my own small business renovating vintage Airstream travel trailers.” — Eric Yonce
01 Protecting Florida
Eric has seen responsible, profit-driven development threaten the coastlines, natural landscapes, and wildlife that make Florida special. He believes growth must respect the communities and resources already here.
02 Working-family perspective
After more than twenty years managing big-box retail stores across the district, Eric understands the pressures facing employees, customers, and families working hard to get ahead.
03 Small-business perspective
That same determination led Eric to start a small business renovating vintage Airstream travel trailers. He understands what it means to build something, solve problems, and be accountable for the result.

Members of the U.S. House of Representatives write and vote on federal laws, including the federal budget. Each represents one district and serves a two-year term. Tax bills must start in the House, only the House can impeach federal officials, and members oversee federal agencies through their committees.
