ABOUT CHRIS
Chris Harden is a husband, father of triplets, attorney, and public servant who understands what it means to work for an opportunity.
Before becoming an attorney, Chris worked full time while attending school at night. He drove a forklift, loaded trucks, and learned firsthand the value of hard work, responsibility, and perseverance.
For more than fourteen years, Chris has dedicated his career to helping families navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives. As a parent defense attorney, he has worked alongside parents, children, case managers, and service providers to help families overcome challenges and move forward.
Chris believes the government should create opportunity, strengthen communities, and help families succeed.
His life story is proof that when opportunity exists, people can achieve extraordinary things.
WHY CHRIS IS RUNNING
Chris is running for Congress because he believes the government should work for working people.
Too many families are doing everything right and still struggling to get ahead. They are working hard, raising families, paying bills, and contributing to their communities, yet they feel like the American Dream is becoming harder to reach.
For fourteen years, Chris has fought for families facing difficult circumstances. He has seen how decisions made in government affect people in their everyday lives.
We need leaders who understand the challenges families face because they have lived them. We need leaders who focus on solutions instead of division and results instead of politics.
Chris is running to expand opportunity, lower costs, strengthen our communities, and ensure every family has a fair chance to succeed.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives write and vote on federal laws, including the federal budget. Each represents one district and serves a two-year term. Tax bills must start in the House, only the House can impeach federal officials, and members oversee federal agencies through their committees.
