About Aaron Gies

Meet Aaron

I believe in a simple truth:

A good life should not be a luxury.

If you work hard and play by the rules, you should have a fair shot at stability.

I was raised in a working family. My father ran a small contracting business. My mother worked as a school secretary. I learned early that hard work matters. But I also learned that the system only works when it is fair.

I’ve spent my life serving communities — as a teacher, nonprofit leader, and person of faith. I’ve waited tables. I’ve balanced books for a Main Street business. I’ve worked on a nonprofit farm. I know what families carry. I know what rising costs do.

And I see what happens when Washington is consumed by greed.

When corporations get special treatment,

When families pay more at the pharmacy,

When wages don’t keep up,

When young people wonder if they can afford to stay,

We’ve lost something fundamental–our focus on the Common Good.

I’m running for Congress to refocus government on what really matters to Western New Yorkers: making a good life affordable for everyone.

This campaign is not about me.

It’s about saying out loud what we know in our bones: our district deserves better.

If you believe that, too, join me.

Volunteer. Contribute. Sign up.

Because change doesn’t begin in Washington.

It begins here.
