Meet Jennifer Jenkins
Jennifer Jenkins is a mom, an educator, and a common-sense fighter for Florida’s families.
The daughter of a corrections officer and a mother living with disability, Jennifer grew up in a working-class family. Florida’s affordability crisis isn’t theoretical to her. She and her husband have both worked multiple jobs to make ends meet.
Jennifer built her career in education, working to ensure that every child has a chance to succeed. She served on the Brevard County School Board, taking on career politicians and extremists, making national headlines in 2020 when she defeated the co-founder of Moms for Liberty in a district Donald Trump won by double digits.
On the school board, Jennifer stood up for public schools, pushed back against extremism, and defended students from political bullies — even when it brought threats, protests at her home, and harassment of her family. She never backed down.
Jennifer went on to found Educated We Stand, a national organization dedicated to protecting families across the country from political extremism in public education. She built a national grassroots movement that flipped extremist-held school board seats, and won nearly 80% of endorsed races.
Now, Jennifer is running for Congress to take that same courage and determination to Washington. She’ll fight to lower costs, address the broken property insurance system, protect health care, and ensure every Floridian has the freedom to thrive.
Jennifer lives in Satellite Beach with her husband, a middle school history and civics teacher, and their daughter, who attends Brevard Public Schools.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives write and vote on federal laws, including the federal budget. Each represents one district and serves a two-year term. Tax bills must start in the House, only the House can impeach federal officials, and members oversee federal agencies through their committees.
