Running for State Representative
Cecil Thomas is running to serve as State Representative for the 25th District. He has been serving Cincinnati and fighting for justice his entire adult life. Currently, Cecil is serving his fellow Cincinnatians as a State Senator for District 9. Cecil previously served as a member of Cincinnati City Council for four terms and as a member of the Cincinnati Police Department for several decades before that
State representatives serve in their state's lower legislative chamber. Responsibilities include drafting and voting on state laws, representing their district's interests in the state capitol, serving on state committees, and shaping the state budget. State legislation covers areas like education, healthcare, transportation, criminal justice, and local taxation that directly affect residents' daily lives.
