About Priscilla Ghaznavi

Meet Priscilla

Priscilla Ghaznavi is running for the U.S. Congress in New York’s 7th Congressional District with a clear belief: the American Dream is alive when opportunity, accountability, and access move together. This belief is deeply rooted in her upbringing, the life she has built, and the work she has pursued through community engagement.

Born in Washington, D.C., to immigrant parents from Iran and Bolivia, Priscilla grew up in a household that valued education, hard work, and respect for the civic systems that facilitate progress. Her childhood was intertwined with experiences on the National Mall—learning to ride a bike, flying kites under the Washington Monument, and walking the historic steps of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and President Kennedy’s final resting place. Public service and civic responsibility were part of her everyday life, helping her understand that government functions best when individuals engage, participate, and lead.

New York has been her home for over three decades. From Chelsea to Greenpoint to Williamsburg, Priscilla has developed her life within the very communities she aims to represent in the U.S. Congress NY CD 7. She is attuned to the rhythms of the district, its strengths, its challenges, and the opportunities that await realization. Her record illustrates consistent engagement in organizing, advocating, and generating ideas that translate into impactful actions. Designing our future together has been her commitment for years.

As a designer by trade, Priscilla has built a career across seven publicly traded companies, focusing on business and creative leadership. She constructs systems, aligns teams, and drives results that scale effectively. Her understanding of how concepts transition to execution and meet people’s needs in tangible ways is unmatched. Priscilla holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a concentration in International Trade, along with additional qualifications in design, merchandising, and advanced studies in Milan. During her college years, she was elected President of New York State Delta Epsilon Chi (DECA), showcasing her early ability to lead, organize, and advocate. In May 2026, she earned her fourth degree in Entrepreneurship and dedicated her graduation day to community engagement, meeting neighbors and gathering signatures necessary for her position on the general election ballot.

Priscilla's perspective is both global and deeply local. Fluent in English and Castellano, she has traveled extensively across the Americas, Europe, West Asia, Asia, North Africa, and Australia. These experiences have sharpened her understanding of how policy influences economies and everyday life across diverse communities, and how the U.S. can lead with strength and clarity.

At home, her leadership has been equally substantial. As past President of her Homeowners Association, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she transformed a financially strained organization into a stable, well-managed community with strong reserves. She navigated budgets, contracts, governance, and resident concerns, achieving structured, sustainable, and repeatable outcomes. Her leadership approach is disciplined and clear: listen closely, solve problems iteratively, and create lasting solutions.

Priscilla Ghaznavi is running as an independent voice rooted in action, accountability, and results. Her campaign revolves around a simple, unifying idea: Our Future™. A future shaped with intention and built through action. Forward with focus, purpose, and a commitment to respond to and deliver for the people of New York’s 7th Congressional District.
