Meet Veronica (Roni)
I was born, raised, and have lived in NJ my entire life. I have been married to my husband, Mike, a Navy veteran and electrician, for 32 years. We have two young adult children whom we raised in Long Valley and educated through NJ public schools. We are proud blue-collar working-class people, and together we own and operate a small commercial electrical contracting business. Prior to starting our business, Mike was a Union Electrician, and I was a licensed Property/Casualty (including Health) Insurance Underwriter in our state. I do not have an Ivy League education, I am not a lawyer, and I am not connected to anyone in power. What I am is REPRESENTATIVE. I have faced the same endless struggles you do on a daily basis with everything from affording healthcare and groceries to getting help for a special needs child and trying to save for retirement. I know how we got into this mess and, more importantly, I know how to fix it. We start by cleaning up OUR Congress to end the control of big money and special interests. That can only be done with new leadership, we will not be saved by those who got us here in the first place.
U.S. Senators write and vote on federal laws. Each state has two senators, who serve six-year terms. Only the Senate confirms the President's nominees for judges and the cabinet, approves treaties, and holds impeachment trials.
