Meet Larry "Lead" Marker
Larry Marker comes from the part of New Mexico where people build, ranch, drill, farm, fix, and figure things out for themselves. That background shaped his work, his faith, and his view that government should serve the people instead of ruling over them.
Larry's Story
Larry Marker’s life did not start in politics. It started in the working world of southeastern New Mexico.
Born in Hobbs in 1963 and raised in Roswell after his family settled there in 1972, Larry grew up around the values that still define much of New Mexico: hard work, independence, faith, and responsibility. Over the years he has worked in oil and gas production, farming, ranching, manufacturing, construction, and service. That range of experience gives him a practical understanding of the state that cannot be learned from polling memos or political consulting.
Larry is known to many of his closest friends and family as “Lead,” but what matters most to voters is what that life experience produced: a candidate who understands how policy decisions land in the real economy, on real families, and in real communities.
Why He is Running
After watching corruption, overregulation, and arbitrary government become normal, Larry chose to confront the system instead of accepting it.
His business experience exposed him to the real consequences of bloated government, capricious rules, and policies that punish the people who still build and sustain this state. That is what pushed him toward grassroots conservative activism, legal causes of action, and serious study of New Mexico’s Constitution, statutes, and government.
What Guides Larry Marker
Faith, patriotism, work ethic, and courage are not branding language. They are the habits that shaped his life.
The strongest candidate biography does more than list credentials. It explains what kind of person is stepping forward and why voters should trust him under pressure. Larry’s public life is anchored by the same principles that shaped his private and working life, and those principles now drive his campaign for office.
What Supporters Can Expect
Larry Marker is running to bring work, courage, and constitutional seriousness into public office.
This campaign is built around the idea that New Mexico deserves leaders who know the state beyond the Capitol, who understand the damage caused by bad government, and who are willing to defend the people, industries, and values that still hold this place together.
U.S. Senators write and vote on federal laws. Each state has two senators, who serve six-year terms. Only the Senate confirms the President's nominees for judges and the cabinet, approves treaties, and holds impeachment trials.
