About Genevieve
Genevieve Angel has spent her life serving others — in hospitals, in businesses, and in her community. She's not running to play politics. She's running to solve real problems for real families.
For nearly 30 years, she's lived and served right here in CA-44 as a Family Nurse Practitioner, healthcare executive, mother, and small-business owner.
She doesn't just talk about the issues — she lives them every day.
Meet the Candidate
I am Genevieve Angel, a dedicated Lakewood resident for nearly 30 years and a proud mother and wife who built her family right here in Southern California after moving from Manila, Philippines.
My foundation is built on education and action:
BSN — University of Santo Tomas, 1992
MBA — AIU Los Angeles, 2007
MSN / Family Nurse Practitioner (Magna Cum Laude), 2025
2 years of Law — Pacific Coast University
I don't hold degrees in journalism or political science, nor am I a career bureaucrat — I hold a degree in saving lives.
As a senior healthcare executive with extensive experience in hospitals, health plans, and community services, I am a proven leader dedicated to bringing actionable, positive change to our community.
Why I'm Running
As a dedicated Filipina-Latin American mother, wife, and small-business owner, I bring a unique, hands-on perspective to the table. With a background as a Family Nurse Practitioner and healthcare executive, I'm committed to strengthening our community through fiscal responsibility, public safety, healthcare reform, and educational freedom.
America is a vibrant mosaic of cultures and backgrounds. It is a true privilege to call this nation home, to share a common language, and to cast our votes for leaders dedicated to serving our community.
For nearly three decades, I have been honored to serve the families of CD44 not just in words, but with action. I don't just talk about the challenges our community faces — I live them right alongside you. I'm running to give back to this great nation that has shaped our lives.
I'm not a politician, but I am a believer in the American Dream — a dream that feels increasingly out of reach for our children, our future generation.
Instead of focusing on partisan politics, I am focused on planning and building a better future for our local communities.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives write and vote on federal laws, including the federal budget. Each represents one district and serves a two-year term. Tax bills must start in the House, only the House can impeach federal officials, and members oversee federal agencies through their committees.
