About Mike Kelley

Biography

Rep. Mike Kelley represents Oklahoma’s 60th District, which includes Canadian County. Kelley is a retired Battalion Chief and Shift Commander from the Oklahoma City Fire Department. He is a graduate of Putnam City West High School and holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from the University of Oklahoma. Kelley has completed advanced coursework in Fire and Emergency Management at Oklahoma State University. Kelley volunteered on April 19, 1995, the day of the Murrah Building bombing by dedicating himself to search, rescue, and recovery efforts. He is the Executive Director of the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association, and advocates for first responders by pushing for better wages, training, and protective equipment. Kelley was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives for the 60th Legislature and was appointed as vice chair to the County & Municipal Committee. Kelley was also appointed by the Speaker of the House to sit on the Government Oversight Committee, Public Safety Committee, and Appropriations and Budget Public Safety Committee. His primary policy areas of focus will be securing the border, fighting inflation through tax cuts and economic growth, and defending the Second Amendment, prioritizing education and the sanctity of life. Kelley and his wife, Kristi, have four children and four grandchildren. They are active members of Life Church and live in Canadian County.
