MiSSION & VisiOn
Our government is supposed to work for the people, not for corporations or politicians who sell us out.
Florida families are doing everything right and still falling behind. Insurance costs keep rising. Housing feels out of reach. Healthcare is a constant worry. Powerful interests keep getting exactly what they want at the expense of the people.
Nicole Locklin is running for Congress to take on corruption, plain and simple. She doesn’t take corporate or foreign PAC money, and she believes our tax dollars should make life more affordable, not line the pockets of the billionaires and corporate elites. That means investing in what actually keeps communities safe and strong: good schools, affordable healthcare, disaster preparedness, and job creation. It means demanding accountability, transparency, and a government that answers to voters, not donors.
You don't have to agree with Nicole on every issue. You just have to believe your representative won’t lie to you or sell you out. You have to believe your representative is out there fighting for you, always. You have to believe that your representative knows the law and can pass meaningful legislation. Nicole wants to represent you and your needs.
Government for the people, not the powerful few.
A CAMPAIGN BORN OF NECESSITY
Trump, Díaz-Balart, and DeSantis drew the lines of Florida 26 thinking there wouldn't be a race. They decided to move tens of thousands of Democrats from a strong Blue district into a district without a Democratic representative, erasing their vote. They thought they could silence those voices, but THEY WERE WRONG. Nicole Locklin decided to run late, but just a few weeks, raised more than any recent Democratic candidate had during their entire campaign. Nicole is a direct result of them trying to silence and destroy the voice of the people. They intend to tear down the fabric of our Democracy by eliminating the voice of the voters and elections: "In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not going to have to vote." - Donald Trump
If we dont flip the House and Senate, Trump will never leave office.
Trump and Díaz-Balart both believe we should continue this war in Iran despite lacking any plan, strategy, objectives, or leadership. They say their goal is to "open the strait" and "prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons", but BOTH of these were already accomplished by the JCPOA back in 2015. Donald Trump pulled us OUT OF THAT DEAL and started an illegal and unnecessary war. Gas, groceries, and the price of everything we buy are rising rapidly. We are running out of time to make a deal to return to normal! Díaz-Balart continuously to votes to extend funding and escalate the war because that is what his biggest donors tell him to do. We could be spending that money making Florida 26 more affordable, but Mario prefers war.
Earthquakes, floods, fires, tornadoes, and hurricanes are increasing in severity and frequency. Global warming has caused problems around the globe and we are running out of time to reverse course. Nicole would focus on preserving our planet for future generations instead of spending trillions trying to escape to Mars, or worse, ignoring the problem like Mario Díaz-Balart.
Díaz-Balart's environmental policy score is 12%.
Trump and Díaz-Balart love to brag about the stock market, but they are ignoring the red flags and sirens going off! The CEO of JPMorgan Chase, one of the most influential voices in finance, says he would not buy stocks or U.S. Treasuries at current prices. More importantly, he said investors are ignoring some significant threats to the market. When Trump and his family, Musk and the billionaires, and corrupt officials abuse the stock market for personal gain, WE THE PEOPLE SUFFER THE LOSSES! They plan to use our tax dollars to bail out their gambling addiction because the stock market will correct, soon. Dont let Díaz-Balart pass his gambling losses to you!
Díaz-Balart claims to represent the people of Florida 26. Meanwhile, Miami is #1 in the nation for illegal I.C.E. arrests, and 4 out of 5 arrests involve people with NO CRIMINAL RECORD. In a Cuban majority district, Díaz-Balart celebrates the pain he is causing families abroad with his 60+ year failed embargo that has yielded NO RESULTS. The people of Cuba are suffering Mario - wake up! To make matters worse, Díaz-Balart continuously votes to end healthcare subsidies, and kick families off of their healthcare. When will Mario stand up for what is right and protect the families he claims to represent? After 24 years in office, his actions tell a story of betrayal.
This could be our last chance to protect our democracy, our planet, our neighbors and families, and our livelihoods. It starts right here in Florida 26 by removing Díaz-Balart after 24 years of betrayal and incompetence. Nicole Locklin isn’t running for Congress to make a career or protect powerful companies. She is running to clean up a system on the brink of disaster and to make sure government finally works for the people.

A LIFE OF SERVICE BEGINS (1988 - 2000)
Nicole Locklin was born the middle child of three siblings. Nicole Locklin was raised in a family that believed a person’s life should reflect their values. She grew up watching her father live by a simple set of principles: love for family, generosity toward others, and the belief that doing the right thing matters, even when it is difficult. He taught his children that kindness is strength, that you treat people with dignity, and that your character is measured by how you show up for your community. Nicole carries those lessons with her today. She believes leadership should be grounded in integrity, service, and compassion; that government, like any life well lived, should be guided by honesty, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others.
EARLY EDUCATION (2000-2012)
From an early age, Nicole demonstrated leadership and a strong sense of civic responsibility. As an eighth grader in 2001, in the days following the 9/11 attacks, Nicole organized a county-wide supply drive for victims and first responders, filling an entire semi-truck with donated supplies. Nicole graduated high school in 2006 as valedictorian, also having served as student council president, and captain of the basketball team. In 2006, she enrolled at the University of Oklahoma as an Oklahoma Academic Scholar. She graduated in December 2009, becoming a first-generation college graduate.
In 2010, shortly after graduating, Nicole moved to San Francisco, where she began her career working at a startup. She later returned home to spend the Fall of 2011 working with her father while saving money for law school. Before starting law school, Nicole embarked on a solo backpacking trip around the world, traveling to 17 countries and gaining a broader understanding of global cultures and politics.
LAW SCHOOL (2012 - 2015)
Nicole began law school at Santa Clara University in Fall 2012, where she joined the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team and focused her studies on technology law. During this time, her family faced significant health challenges when her older brother Greg was diagnosed with Marfan syndrome in October 2012, requiring open-heart surgery and multiple major surgeries over the following decade. Nicole graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in May 2015 with a High Tech Law Certificate with Honors, and was named to the Dean’s List. She passed the California Bar in November 2015.
LITIGATION (2016 - 2020)
In January 2016, Nicole began her legal career as a litigation associate at Lerch Sturmer LLP, where she practiced professional liability defense, representing attorneys in malpractice and complex litigation matters. Nicole’s life changed dramatically on May 30, 2018, when her father died in a plane crash. The tragedy forced her family to wind down their long-standing family crop-dusting business. At the same time, her brother Greg, who had attempted to keep the business running, was forced to step away due to the health risks associated with Marfan syndrome.
In September 2019, Nicole met her future husband, Chris, whose family embodies a deep tradition of military service. Chris was born in Germany while his parents were deployed overseas. His mother and father served in the U.S. Army, and his older sister served in the U.S. Navy. During Operation Desert Storm, both of Chris’s parents were deployed at the same time, and he spent two years living with his grandmother in Indiana. His father would later deploy multiple times during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Chris’s mother is also a first-generation immigrant from Malaysia, adding another chapter of the American story to their family.
LAWYER IN BIG TECH (2020 - PRESENT)
Nicole joined Nextdoor in March 2020, a technology company focused on strengthening local communities. Chris proposed in July 2020, and the two were married in Miami, September 2021. Nicole later joined another Silicon Valley company in May 2022, continuing her work in the technology sector. Nicole and her family experienced another profound loss on March 8, 2023, when Nicole’s brother Greg died at age 37 from a brain aneurysm following heart surgery in Houston.
FLORIDA DISTRICT 26
In April 2024, Nicole and Chris moved to Miami full time, where Chris joined the Miami Dolphins organization after a lifetime of fandom. Nicole continued her role as Lead Counsel at Databricks. Her life has been shaped by leadership, public service, resilience through personal loss, and a deep belief that government should work for ordinary people. Together with Chris, whose life was shaped by the military, life as a Black man in America, and the immigrant experience, Nicole believes deeply in the promise of a country where hard work, integrity, and service to others still matter.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives write and vote on federal laws, including the federal budget. Each represents one district and serves a two-year term. Tax bills must start in the House, only the House can impeach federal officials, and members oversee federal agencies through their committees.
