Maurice MercerDemocraticMaurice Mercer was raised to contribute to his community. His grandfather was greatly admired for helping thousands of working families build better lives; his mother was a caring nurse, his father, a proud veteran. That's part of the reason why he has such a strong desire to make District 6 better. He graduated from TU.S. House members represent a single district and serve two-year terms. They introduce bills, control the federal budget, and vote on laws.
In the general election, the candidates who advanced face off and the winner takes office.
