What changes is this bill making?

1Requires the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Department of Veterans Affairs to study and report on noncitizen veterans who were removed from the United States since 1990.
2Directs DHS to build a system to identify noncitizen veterans before starting removal proceedings and to share that information across DHS components.
3Creates the Military Family Immigration Advisory Committee to review removal cases for service members, veterans, and their noncitizen spouses or children and recommend whether to pause or end removal.
4Establishes a program for eligible noncitizens to apply for U.S. citizenship during or after military service, with training for military lawyers and recruiters on the process.
5Requires immigration staff or trained military personnel at enlistment centers to inform recruits who are noncitizens about paths to citizenship through service.
6Allows DHS to adjust or restore lawful permanent resident status for noncitizen veterans with final removal orders, waiving certain inadmissibility grounds if in the public interest.
7Expands eligibility for immediate relatives of U.S. citizen service members or veterans to adjust status without certain grounds of inadmissibility or inspection requirements.
