About Young Kim

Meet Young Kim

A Proven America First Fighter

Why I'm Running...

I’m running for Congress because families across Southern California are tired of career politicians who serve themselves instead of the people who elected them. My priority is fighting to hold Washington accountable, lower costs for working families, and protect the American Dream for future generations.

I was born in South Korea and came to America with my family in search of hope and opportunity. This country gave me the chance to live the American Dream, and that experience has shaped who I am and why I chose a life of public service.

When I became the first Korean American woman elected to represent Southern California in the State Assembly, I went to Sacramento determined to challenge a status quo that had stopped putting Californians first. In the State Assembly, I stood up for public safety, supported victims of domestic violence, and secured valuable resources for veterans and homeless children.

When I got to Congress, I quickly realized Washington faced many of the same problems I had taken on in Sacramento.

Working families are struggling to make ends meet, and I’m working to lower the cost of gas, groceries, and utilities and make it easier for families to get ahead. I’ve also fought to lower healthcare and prescription drug costs for seniors and protect Medicare.

Accountability starts with protecting taxpayer dollars from waste, fraud, and abuse. After fraudsters stole billions in taxpayer dollars, I led efforts to pass the No More Scams Act to recover every dollar possible and hold these criminals accountable.

And that same standard should apply to the people serving in Congress. I support term limits because public service should be about serving the American people, not personal or financial gain. I introduced legislation to ban members of Congress from trading individual stocks while in office. We need to root out corruption and restore public trust in Congress.

I’m running for re-election to keep taking on career politicians, lower costs for working families, and defend the American Dream for future generations. I would be honored to earn your vote.

In Congress, I continue to fight every day to ensure President Trump has allies to undo the disastrous Joe Biden-Nancy Pelosi agenda that caused skyrocketing prices, rising crime, an open border, and a political class that serves the swamp instead of fighting for working families.

From day one in Washington, I’ve pushed back against the Sacramento-style, big-spending agenda that drains wallets, stalls the economy, and destroys opportunity. Hardworking Americans have a right to be frustrated: inflation is skyrocketing, everything costs more, and the Democrats’ policies keep squeezing families who play by the rules.

In Congress, I’ve stood my ground and fought to get this country back on track. I’m running for re-election to defend the American Dream and restore the promise that built this nation. And with President Trump leading the charge, I’m looking forward to continuing to push through the bold, conservative, America First agenda the American people need and deserve.
