Meet Josh
Josh grew up in the Valley and lives in Tracy with his wife Pam and their two young daughters, Lillian and Karina. He sees how expensive it’s getting to raise a family – from gas to housing to health care – and how our communities keep getting left behind. For too long politicians have put their own egos above actually getting things done for our families. Josh represents a new generation of leaders working to break the gridlock and fix the broken political system.
Josh comes from the business world and is focused on the most important issues in our community like lowering costs, fighting homelessness and keeping our neighborhoods safe. That’s why Josh has support from a diverse coalition of voters from farmers and ranchers to union workers and law enforcement.
JOSH’S STORY
Josh’s family settled in Manteca five generations ago to start a peach farm. Growing up, Josh's parents taught him the value of faith and hard work. After working his way through college and a successful career in business, Josh ran for Congress to protect health care coverage for people with pre-existing conditions like his adopted brother, David. Now, he lives in Tracy with his wife, Pam, and their two young daughters, Lillian and Karina.
WORKING HARDER FOR THE CENTRAL VALLEY
1870s
Josh’s family came to the Central Valley more than 150 years ago. His great great grandpa settled in Manteca to start a peach farm and raise his family. Along the way, he taught his kids a deep sense of public service and a pride for working the land.
1940s
Both of Josh’s grandfathers served in uniform. Decades later, Josh would lead a bill that delivered health care to 30,000 veterans just like his grandfather who suffered from health issues after exposure to Agent Orange.
1986
Josh’s parents met on a mission trip. His Dad is a small business owner and his mom is a volunteer leader at their Church. After having Josh, they adopted his little brother, David, who spent weeks in the hospital when he was born prematurely. Josh’s parents were left with a $2 million medical bill and were only able to pay because his dad had good insurance.
1990s
Josh grew up in the Valley raised on faith, family, and hard work. He started as a local paperboy and worked his way through school, graduating from Stanford and Harvard thanks to scholarships from the Rotary Club and American Legion.
2017
Josh decided to run for office when his Republican member of Congress voted to strip health care away from his brother and thousands of folks with pre-existing conditions across the Central Valley. Josh refused to take a dime of corporate PAC money and instead relied on thousands of volunteers to knock on doors to win his race and flip the seat blue.
2018
Josh married his wife, Pam, surrounded by family and friends. They met in school and have a shared love for fostering dogs in their free time.
2024
Today, Josh lives in Tracy with his wife Pam and their two young daughters, Lillian and Karina. He is dedicated to making the Valley safe and affordable so everyone can live and raise their family here, just like his family has done for generations.

The Valley has been my family's home for generations, and now my wife and I have a daughter of our own. For too long the Valley has been left behind by politicians. I'm running to change that. We have to protect our water, bring costs down, and keep our communities safe.
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives write and vote on federal laws, including the federal budget. Each represents one district and serves a two-year term. Tax bills must start in the House, only the House can impeach federal officials, and members oversee federal agencies through their committees.
