About Lisa McClain

MEET LISA

Growing up in Stockbridge, Lisa was taught the value of hard work at a young age – cleaning horse stalls and working full-time while still in high school. As a three-sport athlete who graduated early while working to support herself, Lisa knows it takes hard work to get ahead.

Like many Michiganders, Lisa worked her way through college, earning her business degree from Northwood University. She spent 30 years in the private sector, working her way to the top. After a decade at American Express, she helped start a successful business, Hantz Financial, where she continued building her strong business background. As a self-made business leader, Lisa knows what it’s like to sign both sides of a paycheck.

Today, Lisa and her husband, Mike, live in Romeo. A proud mother of four, Lisa is also a runner who completed the Detroit Marathon, a former 10+ year softball coach, and dog-mom to a King Cavalier named “Peanut.” Today, she continues playing ball for charity on both the Congressional Baseball Team and at the Congressional Women’s Softball Game.

Since taking office in 2021, Lisa has always fought to put Michigan first and has worked to:

Support a dynamic economy, where thriving businesses create jobs and opportunity.

Ensure a strong national defense and effective law enforcement that balances liberty and safety.

Protect Michiganders from unfair foreign trade.

Keep our communities safe and secure.

Lisa McClain understands the challenges facing working families because she’s lived them. With a proven track record of getting things done in Washington, she will always be a relentless fighter for families in Michigan’s Thumb.
