About Sarah Elfreth

Meet Sarah

Congresswoman Sarah Elfreth broke barriers in 2024, becoming the youngest woman ever elected to Congress from Maryland.

She went to Congress with one thing in mind: delivering for Maryland families on the issues that matter most. Whether it’s standing up for federal workers, supporting v eterans, protecting the Chesapeake Bay, or tackling the affordability crisis head-on, Sarah is hell-bent on fighting for what is right and bringing home real wins.

And Sarah has delivered on her promises. She has spent her first term in the House advocating for the Third District, successfully passing five bills into law, solving over 2,000 constituent cases, and bringing tens of millions in funding back to her community. She learned her work ethic and tenacity from growing up in a union household and honed her skills of problem-solving and collaborating over six years in the Maryland State Senate. Sarah lives in Annapolis with her fiancé, Eric, and their dog, Ollie.
